Do my clients receive a 1099-INT for their Currence Reservoir account?

Since interest is earned on the Reservoir, your client might need a 1099-INT form (or 1042-S form for non-resident aliens) to complete their annual tax returns.

They will receive a 1099-INT if they receive $10 or more in interest for the calendar year.

1099-INTs will be made available from within their Currence app in the Profile under Statements & Documents prior to the tax deadline. If they are a joint account holder, the 1099-INT will be made available to the primary joint account holder only. This is whoever opened the Reservoir account first.

If your client closed their account and received more than $10 in interest for the calendar year, they will receive your 1099-INT via the mail. The form will be sent to the last known address, if this has changed since their account was closed, please instruct them to contact Support at member@livecurrence.com as soon as possible.
